Barclay Viewforth Church.
I took this on New Years day after the street party, this Chirch dominates the skyline on the southwest of Edinburgh and is indeed the second highest steeple in Edinburgh after St Mary’s. The hurch was built in 1862-64 to the powerful Victorian Gothic design of Frederick Thomas Pilkington following an architectural competition. This is the area of Edinburgh I frequent most and I love looking over this way to the steeple from the castle.
